Brand New for 2025, the DRAGON ULTRA was conceived with the goal to make the worlds lightest and strongest high performance 4-batten wavesail. Starting with the original S2Maui DRAGON, which, for a long time has led the industry in the lightest/strongest/high perf category, the DRAGON ULTRA reduces weight to a level 25-30% lighter than industry standard.

At only 85g/square meter and featuring a 100% Dyneema (High Modulus Polyethylene, world’s strongest fiber) woven core, S2Maui’s ULTRA-HMPETM is the absolute lightest and most tear resistant sail cloth currently available for Windsurf sail construction.

The ULTRA-HMPETM material is warp oriented and load aligned with S2Maui’s Warp-PathTM panel layout ensuring perfect tension distribution and a stable profile.

On the water, the incredible performance and weightlessness of the DRAGON ULTRA is without equal. It retains all the stability, smooth power, drive, maneuverability and responsive handling that the Dragon is famous for but with the insanely light weight it feels like there is barely anything in your hands. Wave maneuvers are instantaneous and handling is feather light. It has to be experienced to understand.

This year, I had the chance to test and approve the new Dragon ULTRA model.

Having this long term partnership with S2 MAUI allowed us to give all our knowledge to develop this new Ultra light Sail. It’s basically all that I like from the Dragon; manoeuvrability, responsivemness and reactivity + the ultra lightness that everyone would want from a sail.
