New S2maui Dragon Ultra Light 2026
The 2026 DRAGON ULTRA was conceived with the goal to make the worlds lightest and strongest high performance 4-batten wavesail and further improves upon the popular 2025 model which received rave reviews from all that experienced it.
Starting with the original S2Maui DRAGON, which for a long time has led the industry in the lightest/strongest/high perf category, the DRAGON ULTRA reduces weight to a level 25-30% lighter than industry standard.
At only 85g/square meter and featuring a 100% Dyneema™(High Modulus Polyethylene, world’s strongest fiber) woven core, S2Maui’s ULTRA-HMPE™ is the absolute lightest and most tear resistant sail cloth currently available for windsurf sail construction. The 2026 models incorporate
2 brand new materials, Carbon 2XD in the clew to further reduce weight and the extra-durable Ultra-HMPE™ ”Hot Yellow” in the foot panel.
The ULTRA-HMPE™ material is warp oriented and load aligned with S2Maui’s WARP-PATH™ panel layout ensuring perfect tension distribution and a stable profile.
On the water, the incredible performance and weightlessness of the DRAGON ULTRA is without equal. It retains all the stability, smooth power, drive, maneuverability and responsive handling that the DRAGON is famous for, but with the insanely light weight it feels like there is barely anything in your hands. Wave maneuvers are instantaneous and handling is feather light.
